Saugeen Shores Police have reported two incidents of public interest involving sexual offences involving minors.

On April 25, 2025 police responded to a report of an indecent act at a school in Saugeen Shores. They didn't say which school but said a male allegedly approached a fenced in area of a school yard and initiated conversation with students on the property. During this incident the male exposed his genitals, began to touch himself, then fled the area.

In a June 3, 2025 media release, following a detailed investigation the male was identified by investigators and as a result a 27-year-old Saugeen Shores man was arrested and charged with multiple offences including three counts of Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16, three counts of Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16, and Failure to Comply with a probation order.
 
The male was held in custody for a April 26 bail hearing and subsequently released with conditions and a future court date.

Police said that due to a publication ban no additional information will be released at this time.

On April 26, 2025 Saugeen Shores Police took a report in relation to an alleged assault that had occurred on April 25. In this incident a 32-year-old man reported to have used the social media platform Snapchat to connect with a minor and begin conversation. The male then picked the female and her friend up in his vehicle and they attended the City of Owen Sound to pick up a fourth person known to the girls.

The vehicle then returned to a parking lot in Saugeen Shores where the accused provided alcohol to the occupants in the vehicle before continuing to the accused’s residence. During the course of the evening the accused kissed and touched the victim in a sexual manner.

As a result of the investigation a 32-year-old man of Saugeen Shores is charged with multiple offences including Luring a Person Under 16 by means of telecommunication, Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16, Sexual Interference, and Knowingly Supplying Liquor to a Person Under 19.
 
The male was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
