Celebrate Canada’s 150th with National Canadian Film Day

canfilmday 560April 19, 2017 is National Canadian Film Day; a day for all Canadians to celebrate Canada by indulging in a superb Canadian film. National Canadian Film Day (NCFD), an initiative of Reel Canada, was created as a new way to celebrate the nation and embrace Canadian cinema. This year, National Canadian Film Day has special significance as we celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

Bruce County Public Library and Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre both recognize this unique cultural event and will screen a variety Canadian films on April 19 including Margaret’s Museum at 1 p.m. at the Southampton Branch Library, Strange Brew at 3 p.m. at the Port Elgin Branch Library and The Grand Seduction at 7 p.m. at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.
