A royal affair at Chantry Centre

In preparation for the royal wedding May 19, the Chantry Senior's Centre in Southampton hosted a royal affair fit for a corgi May 15, with awards being granted to the best fascinator and the best men’s tie, with Connie Barker’s creative piece and Marg McLeod’s stately attire winning best in show.

The royal feast to prepare for the nuptials between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was prepared by Chantry Centre volunteers who served ham with hot German mustard and royal roast turkey.

Sir C&C Kellogg was represented in the rice krispie wedding cake which is on trend this season; while others treated themselves to a tasteful English trifle.

Royal guests were treated to the musical stylings of Mary Ann Holst, with luncheon decorations created by Carol Hahn and Connie Baker.
