Another Show 'n Go Classic Car Tour has been hailed a success despite rain. "Nothing could dampen the spirits of hundreds of enthusiastic classic car watchers," read an August 2 media release from the Grey Bruce Sunset Cruisers.

The August 1 Peninsula Classic Car Run drew 160 classic cars and resulted in $1,500 in donations to the Grey Bruce Crime Stoppers program.

Cars came from all across southern Ontario, headed out from start points in Owen Sound, Wiarton, Lion's Head, Sauble Beach and Saugeen Shores and travelled through the communities of Colpoy's Bay, Ferndale, Hepworth, Howdenvale, Lion's Head, Oliphant, Pike Bay, Red Bay, Sauble Beach, Shallow Lake, Southampton, Springmount and finally Wiarton where the day wrapped up with a gathering at the Wiarton Keppel International Airport.

This is the second of three fundraisers with the next event, the Fall Colour Tour, scheduled for September 26.
