Museum and Harrigan's co-host Business After Hours

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre along with Harrigan's 100 Mile Food Market & Catering were hosts to the latest Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours (BAH) event on May 26.

Harrigan's Catering provided a table full of tasty appetizers from marinated beef on toasties and pinwheel sandwiches to princess tarts for dessert.

Museum Marketing and Special Events Coordinator, Shannon Paiva spoke of two new exhibits, Chagall for Children and My Bruce County: Youth Art Show, which features art work of children in grade 6, 7 and 8 on what Bruce County means to them.

Museum Business Manager, Janice Mewhinney, announced that the museum will be extending their hours and will remain open until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. “As part of the Wednesday evenings we're going to be featuring classic comedies in the Bruce Power Theatre too,” said Mewhinney.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening, Ann Veyvara-Divinski announced the latest Chamber of Commerce members, Tahbou, Spring Mill Cottages, Back Yard Cottages and Everest Nurseries in Hepworth.

The Chamber of Commerce's AGM will be held June 14 at 12 p.m. followed by the official launch of the new trolley and a reminder that Krown and Norm's Auto Lube will be hosting a charity car and bbq on June 18 in support of the Liv-A-Little and Make A Wish Foundations

This year's Marine Heritage Festival in Southampton was also mentioned with the Museum hosting the launch party for the fun filled weekend on Friday, July 22 at 5 p.m.

The monthly Business After Hours event will break for summer and return again in September.
