A grand opening ceremony for K Interiors at the former Port's Emporium location, 604 Goderich Street in downtown Port Elgin, was held Canada Day weekend, June 29, with Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau cutting a ribbon to mark the occasion.

The store is an expansion of the business for K Interiors owner Kaitlyn Shular who also operates on MacKenzie Road, opposite The Plex, alongside Bruce County Custom Cabinets and Dennison Homes.

While the MacKenzie Road location is more the building, planning and renovation side of things, downtown offers the finishing touches, explained Shular. “This is the last branch of everything," she said. "So home décor, furniture and lighting," she said.
