Bruce Power and Tetra Tech Canada reach new agreement

Bruce Power and Tetra Tech Canada have reached a new six-year agreement that secures a key role for the engineering company in the delivery of outages and online work as well as supporting Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, Canada's largest infrastructure project, read a November 4 Bruce Power media release.

Mike Renchek, Bruce Power's President and CEO said Bruce Power was pleased with the partnership. "We rely on our partners and their ability to continue innovating and advancing our technologies," he said, adding that the Life Extension Program began in 2016 and remains on budget and schedule.

Tetra Tech Canada Inc. has been an engineering services provider at Bruce Power since 2017 and will be responsible for the majority of engineering services for rotating equipment, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment and emergent work programs.

“We are extremely privileged to participate in Bruce Power’s Major Component Replacement and Asset Management programs," said Pat Marchione, President of Tetra Tech Canada’s power division. “We have committed to supporting the local community through expanding Tetra Tech’s local work force in our Kincardine facility and investing in innovative methods to support Bruce Power’s long-term business objectives.”

Tetra Tech Canada is expanding its presence in the Tri-county area through localization of staff and services in its Kincardine office, read the release. In addition, the engineering company is exploring a second location in efforts to maintain level expansion and execute work locally.
