The latest instalment $250,000 was made to Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS) by the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation June 21. The amount brings the total to $750,000, and represents three quarters of the million dollars that the Foundation has pledged to give to GBHS for the renovation of its Emergency Room and Laboratory, $500,000 of which was given in 2016.

Foundation Executive Director Sally Kidson said that next year the remaining funds will be donated. “When we are close the completion we will give the final $250[,000]. And the money has come through the fundraising activities of the Foundation, from the donors in the community who believed in seeing this project,” said Kidson. “We’re so close now, and were giving those dollars to GBHS to help with the cost of the build,” she added.
