Two teams rode the Heart & Stoke Foundation’s Big Bike May 4 in Port Elgin, raising $3,921 during the annual fundraiser.

The Sunset Riders representing Sunset Family Fun Centre and Saugeen Shores Has Heart raised $3,921 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The two teams rode the Big Bike up and down Goderich Street in Port Elgin May 4, braving heavy winds and stopping traffic in celebration of their fundraising efforts in support of critical heart disease and stroke research.
The Big Bike travels to various locations in Grey and Bruce counties, having stops in Kincardine, Lucknow, Owen Sound, Meaford and Thornbury, Walkerton, Hanover, Markdale and Dundalk.
Representing the Sunset Family Fun Centre were the Sunset Riders who were excited to ride.
Rhonda Hewlette of the Sunset Riders raised over $500 for the fundraiser and was awarded for her high total.
Sunset Rider Bill Dudgeon of Southampton raised $705 for Heart and Stroke research and was awarded for doing so.
With Cowbells and noise makers the two teams who rode the Heart & Stroke Big Bike down Goderich Street in Port Elgin made quite the scene.
