Stow It Self Storage joined the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation as a Silver sponsor to their upcoming Gran Fondo Lake Huron fundraiser May 24.

Stow-It Self Storage provides a storage solution for home, office and cottage with locations in Port Elgin and Owen Sound.

“Gran Fondo Lake Huron is a fantastic event for Saugeen Shores,” said Stow It CEO Steve Levack. “The ability to raise funds that go directly to the needs of the local health care system by enjoying the challenge of a ride through the rolling vistas and breath taking views of this beautiful area; what a wonderful way to spend the day,” he added.

On April 23, Progressive Results Group (PRG) was announced as Silver Sponsor for the upcoming hospital fundraiser, donating $2,500 to event organizers. The branding and marketing group was founded in 2010 and currently operates out of offices in Southampton, Kincardine and Hanover.

President of PRG, Dylan Bartlett said the company likes to be involved in the community. “This just seemed like it was the right thing to do at the right time, and we’re super excited about the event. We cannot wait to get closer to it and keep growing it,” said Bartlett.

Progressive Results Group which shares office space with Saugeen Team Re/Max in Southampton will assist Gran Fondo organizers with photography, graphic design, and social media to help spread news of the August 19 fundraising event.

As of May 24, there were 250 cyclists registered for the Gran Fondo event which features four routes, 30k, 70k, 110k and 160k, for a variety of skill levels. Plus, there is a children’s ride event for Tykes and Trikes and a Skills Circuit for ages 6 to 9.

Registration fees include organized rest stops with snacks as well as admission to the After Ride Picnic Lunch.

Chair of the Foundation, Jim Barbour, is pleased with the support of the sponsors. “We really feel this event is going to be something for the entire community and we hope that people will support it, come out and ride, and help us buy hospital equipment,” he said.
