Books, toys, home decor, clothing and more were collected from staff, patients and community members for Southampton Pet Hospital's second annual Angel Fund fundraiser. Volunteers, along with organizer Melanie Hamilton, were busy setting up shop at 7 a.m. to be ready for the early birds who began arriving at 7:30 sharp.

All items were purchased by donation which raised over $900. Through the Angel Fund, the Southampton Pet Hospital is able to annually grant approximately 100 stray animals a new lease on life by providing medical care as well as spay and neuter services.

In addition to the yard sale held May long weekend, the Southampton Pet Hospital has organized an ongoing book drive, 50/50 draws and a raffle table to keep their Angel Fund afloat.

“The first annual yard sale was just that; a yard sale,” said Hamilton. “The second annual yard sale included a book sale. It is our intention to include a plant sale next year. With the community’s help we are certain to have another very successful year," she said.
