The Tourism Strategy will help the municipality understand the current tourism industry and will showcase opportunities to support tourism in Saugeen Shores.

“Tourism is recognized as an economic driver in the Town of Saugeen Shores and this strategy will help Council make an informed decision on investing in tourism that is both innovative and sustainable,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “Community consultation plays an important role in strategy development and we look forward to hearing from the public,” he added.

The survey will close on August 9, 2019. The final Tourism Strategy, including recommendations and action plan, is expected to be in front of Council later this year.
