Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supply chain partners, Bruce Power will be distributing $381,500 through the company’s 2020 Charitable Events Sponsorship Program.
In a June 30 Bruce Power media release, 26 suppliers which provide support to Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program and Major Component Replacement (MCR) Project are stepping up in the face of COVID-19 to lend a hand to organizations that continue to help people during the pandemic. Bruce Power, on behalf of the suppliers, will be donating funds to the following organizations:
• Saugeen Ojibway Nation Youth Leaders in Training
• United Way of Bruce Grey
• Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada
• Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO)
• Huron Shores Hospice
• Wounded Warriors Canada
• Royal Canadian Legion, Bruce County branches
• Food banks in Grey Bruce
“We’re extremely grateful to our suppliers for their cooperation to make sure these organizations continue to receive funding through this very difficult time,” said Mike Rencheck, President and CEO. “We have an ongoing responsibility to these groups and the people who do great work for others in need.”
