Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7) has introduced a revised Recruitment Implementation Program (RIP) to assist tourism operators in Bruce, Grey and Simcoe counties in their workforce recruitment efforts.

The program will post job ads to the RTO7 Indeed Job Board and sponsor posts to a maximum of $500, including HST, per job post, for a maximum of five, said a RTO7 spokesperson.

Similar to their other Implementation Programs, a cash contribution is not required from partners in order to participate but in order to qualify partners will need to demonstrate a $500 investment in operational expenses

Examples of eligible operational expenses that can be used to leverage recruitment advertising funds include property taxes, mortgage costs, insurance, inventory purchases, and more.

There is still funding available for tourism stakeholders in Bruce, Grey and Simcoe counties for up to 50 percent of eligible costs toward qualified electric vehicle (EV) charging stations installed by June 2025.

This initiative aims to help spur EV adoption by the public, increase tourists’ and residents’ confidence when travelling within Bruce Grey Simcoe, and prioritize sustainability, enhancing the appeal of the region as an environmentally responsible destination.

It also aims to contribute to employee retention and host organizations’ environmental, social and corporate governance initiatives, and create positive change, contributing to the creation of a more sustainable, resilient, and an economically vibrant community and transportation ecosystem.
