Seven-year Port Elgin skier wants your votes

art entry

Hub Staff

Seven-year old Kate Burridge-MacDonald, who is from Port Elgin and a member of the Bruce Ski Club, could find her artwork on toques distributed to Junior Jackrabbit skiers across Canada next year.

"Her entry is the only Ontario one," said Kate's mom Tabitha Burridge-MacDonald in an email to Saugeen Shores Hub. "It certainly would be nice to see the art work of a local child on the heads of all junior Nordic skiers in Canada next year," she added.

In order for Kate's entry to be selected, she needs votes and voting closes at 2:59 EST today, Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

The voting was originally being conducted on Facebook but due to "various irregularities" observed by contest host, Nordiq Canada, the voting has been moved to Survey Monkey.
